CCFA - Cyber Crimes Field Agency
The Cyber Crimes Field Agency is the world’s first affiliate fraud task force. The CCFA is a non for profit organization that was formed in collaboration with the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s, Cyber Crimes Division in order to track and prosecute affiliate fraud and related crimes. The CCFA is currently investigating the myriad of organized crime rings that operate in this space.
The CCFA works with Federal Law Enforcement to provide certain convicted “blackhatters” access to the CCFA Smith Program. The Smith Program is a work release program for former “blackhatters” that creates a win-win for the felon and the CCFA. Working through the Smith Program, the CCFA maintains a covert network of former “blackhatters”. The CCFA’s undercover agents give the organization the latest in intelligence and tactics of today’s sophisticated cyber criminals.
